Day 1

Reception at Juan Santamaria International Airport and transfer to your hotel in San Jose.

San Jose is the capital and is in the middle of the Central Valley in the center of the country. The city has tourist attractions, such as museums, theaters, artisan markets, shopping centers, and a varied gastronomic option.

Day 2

You will be transferred by shared transportation to the Arenal Volcano in the Northern region.

The Arenal volcano is one of the country’s natural wonders. You can still see the ash emanating from the top of the cone. Also, you can visit the town of La Fortuna and have adventure tours or just enjoy the plentiful hot springs in the area.

Day 3

This morning the expert zip line guides will welcome you before helping you into your gear and providing a safety briefing.

This zipline circuit consists of 13 platforms, including 4 built-in enormous trees with a specialized anchor system that allows the trees to grow unharmed. The cables range in height from 20 m. (65 ft.) to 90 m. (300 ft.) and between 70 m. (230 ft.) and 600 m. (1970 feet) in lengths. This allows you to reach speeds of up to 56 kph (35 mph)! Each cable has distinct dimensions and scenery. We will fly above canyons, mountains, farmlands, and lush rainforests.

During this wonderful adventure, you can be set at ease knowing that you will have the assistance of two expert guides at every cable; one of which will safely connect you to the cable and watch for the safety of the others waiting their turn, and the other to help in braking and in disconnecting you from the cable once you arrive at the platform. In addition, our cable, and braking systems as well as our safety protocols are constantly reviewed to assure the safety of our guests, allowing you to always feel comfortable and in control.

Day 4

After breakfast, a microbus will drive you to the Arenal Lake Dam.

There we will board a very comfortable and safe boat for a trip of 30 to 40 minutes (approx.) to Río Chiquito, a small town on the other side of the lake.

Arenal Lake is the largest and the most important lake in Costa Rica, it was man made in 1974 to provide hydroelectric energy for the country. It is also a place where you can find different kinds of resident and migratory birds. Sometimes mammals can be seen in the surroundings, also great views of the Arenal Volcano when it’s clear.

Once at Río Chiquito, we’ll leave the boat and make a short break to strength the legs, after, another 1 1 / 2-hour microbus ride to get to your hotel in the Monteverde area.

Day 5

Cloud forests are found in tropical regions where the clouds intersect the mountain ranges. The Monteverde Cloud Forest Preserve is located on the Tilarán mountain range in northern Costa Rica at an elevation of 1500 meters (5000 feet) above sea level on the continental divide.

Today is to explore the Monteverde Cloud Forest while you traverse various trails and a series of suspension bridges at different levels of a wonderfully diverse ecosystem. You’ll cross suspension bridges with full views of the forest canopy, and from the forest floor along well-maintained nature trails, a naturalist guide will point out intriguing plant and animal life.

Complement your day with a visit to the Monteverde Butterfly Garden.

Day 6

A shuttle transportation will take you to your hotel near San Jose.

Day 7

Today you depart to the Juan Santamaria International Airport.

Have a good trip! We hope you visit us again.
